IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON AUTOMATIC OVERDRAFT PROTECTION TRANSFERS

Posted 7/23/2009

ATTENTION: PLEASE READ!

While your share accounts have the ability to automatically transfer to your checking account to cover it from being overdrawn, C1st needs to ensure compliance with a government regulation called Reg D, which governs the number of automatic transfers you can have. In the past, we’ve allowed for an unlimited amount of transfers to occur. Beginning October 1, 2009 your checking accounts will be allowed up to six overdraft protection transfers FREE (per month) to protect your checking account. If you happen to exceed the limit of six automatic overdraft protection transfers per month, there will be a fee assessed of $2.00 per transfer at the end of the month. We’ve included a few tips to help you avoid this fee.

Plan ahead and make one large transfer leaving yourself a cushion in your checking account, instead of relying on several small automatic overdraft protection transfers to occur. Each of these automatic overdraft protection transfers do count as one transfer, no matter what the amount is.

Use our convenient C1ST@HOME Online Banking, ART (Telephone Banking), ATMs, or visit any of our branch locations to transfer funds between accounts. By utilizing these services, you can maintain your account and have the control and protection of making sure you have adequate funds in your checking account to cover purchases. These types of transfers are not subject to the fee.
