Board of Directors Election

Community 1st Credit Union recently hosted its 2014 Annual Meeting on January 25, 2014. At the event, members re-elected Jason Eubanks, Scott Van Engelenhoven and Rex Stewart to the Board of Directors.
The Community 1st Credit Union Board of Directors is a team of dedicated and passionate people. They serve as non-paid volunteers and spend countless hours serving the credit union. They attend regular monthly meetings and serve on one or more committees. They are also required to complete a minimum of four continuing education courses through the “Volunteer Achievement Program.” The following Community 1st Credit Union Board Members were re-elected and will serve a 3 year term.

Jason Eubanks - has been a member since 2000 and is currently employed at John Deere Ottumwa Works in Product Engineering. Jason and his wife, Becky, along with their 3 kids reside in rural Hedrick, IA. Jason has served on the C1st board since 2007. Presently, he is the Board Chairman and Chair of the Compensation Committee. Additionally, Jason is on the Technology, ALM, Executive Committees and the Membership Officer. “I would be honored to continue to be part of a growing and exciting time within our credit union.”

Scott VanEngelenhoven - has been a member since 1994 and has worked at John Deere Ottumwa Works since August 2000. His home department is 245 Self Propelled Windrower. He is also a grievance handler for UAW Local 74 and has been fortunate enough to be elected to serve two consecutive terms. Scott lives in Ottumwa with his wife, Beth and 3 boys; Jarhett, Hudson, and Cedrik. Scott has served on the C1st board since 2011. He is currently Board Secretary and serves on the Executive, ALM, Policy, and Compensation Commitees. “I’m excited to be a part of a great, growing credit union as Community 1st.”

Rex Stewart - has been a member since 1969 and is retired from John Deere Ottumwa Works, where he worked as a Maintenance Electrician. Currently, he farms and resides in Drakesville, IA with his wife, Elizabeth. He is a member of the Credit and Facilities Committee and is an Iowa Credit Union League Delegate. Rex has served on the board since 1986. “I’m excited to be a part of the continued strength and growth of our credit union.”
