Board of Directors Election

Community 1st Credit Union recently hosted its 2013 Annual Meeting on January 19, 2013. At the event, members re-elected D. David Boyer and Floyd Brown and welcomed Heidi Altfillisch to the Board of Directors.

The Community 1st Credit Union Board of Directors is a team of dedicated and passionate people. They serve as non-paid volunteers and spend countless hours serving the credit union. They attend regular monthly meetings and serve on one or more committees. They are also required to complete a minimum of four continuing education courses through the “Volunteer Achievement Program.” The following Community 1st Credit Union Board Members were re-elected and will serve a 3 year term.

D. David Boyer has been a member of Community 1st Credit Union since 1979 and is currently employed at John Deere Ottumwa Works in the Tool and Die Department. Residing in Ottumwa, with his wife, Christina, David has served on the C1st Board of Directors since 1995. David has also served as Chairman of the Board, a member of the Executive and ALM Committees, Chair of the Compensation Committee, an Iowa Credit Union League Delegate, and a GAC Lobbyist.

Floyd Brown has been a member of Community 1st Credit Union since 1974 and is retired from John Deere Ottumwa Works. Floyd and his wife reside in Bloomfield, IA. He is a member of the Credit, Facilities and Scholarship Committee. Floyd has served on the C1st Board of Directors since 1999.

Heidi Altfillisch has been a member of Community 1st Credit Union since 1999 and resides in Ottumwa with her husband, Mark, and family. Heidi is a stay at home mom and previously taught at IHCC.

Immediately following the meeting, 2013 Board of Director positions were appointed, including:
Jason Eubanks – Chairman
John Mayberry – Vice Chairman
D. David Boyer – Chief Financial Officer
Scott VanEngelenhoven – Secretary
