Van Mersbergen Appointed to ICUL Task Force

Philip Van Mersbergen, Community 1st Credit Union President/CEO,
Appointed to the Iowa Credit Union League Task Force

Ottumwa, IA – Philip Van Mersbergen has been appointed to serve on the Iowa Credit Union League (ICUL) Governance Task Force for 2013. By serving on this committee, Philip represents the collective interests and future of Iowa’s 125 credit unions and their nearly one million members. ICUL is the trade association for Iowa’s not-for-profit credit union industry.

Van Mersbergen joined Community 1st Credit Union in 2008 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He was appointed President/CEO in 2011. Philip and his family reside in Oskaloosa, IA.

The Iowa Credit Union League is the trade association that represents the interests of Iowa credit unions and their nearly one million members. Credit unions are not-for-profit, financial cooperatives owned and operated by their members. Iowans use their credit union membership to receive higher interest rates on savings and lower interest rates on loans.
