2021 Annual Meeting Results

Board of Directors

Community 1st Credit Union is pleased to announce the re-election of Courtney Jones, Ottumwa, Bianca Myers, Ottumwa, and John Mayberry, Bloomfield to its board of directors for 3 more years.  

The credit union held its annual meeting and board of directors’ election Monday, February 1st at the new headquarter facility on Hutchinson Ave in Ottumwa along with a virtual option for membership and staff to join.

Mayberry, long time member, resides in Bloomfield, IA with his wife and family.  He is retired from John Deere Ottumwa Works where he was employed for over 30 years.  He is currently employed at Mid-States Mfg. in Milton, IA.  Mayberry is also very active serving on the Davis County Board and Twin State Truck/Tractor Pullers Association. 

Myers is the Director of Marketing & Community Relations at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, IA.  She, her husband, and their son currently reside in Ottumwa.  She has a PhD in Educational Leadership from Iowa State University.  Myers has been a board member since 2018 and will fill a new role of CFO for the board.

Jones resides in Ottumwa, IA with her husband and their two young children. She is the Manager of Donor Services at Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center, former President of the Ottumwa Noon Lions, and continues her responsibilities as secretary of the C1st board of directors.  

The three are joined by Chairman Tim Elliott of Washington, Vice-Chairman Jason Eubanks, of Ottumwa, Anne Leathers, of Ollie, IA, Rex Stewart, Drakesville, IA, D. David Boyer, Ottumwa, IA and Edith Cabrera-Tello of Fairfield, IA. 

C1st board members serve as non-paid volunteers and are responsible for directing the credit union in accordance with state and federal regulatory fiduciary responsibilities. They also ensure the financial needs and expectations of the credit union membership are being addressed and met. They are required to complete a variety of continuing education courses, attend regular monthly meetings and serve on one or more committees.
