C1st Partners with Iowa Credit Union Foundation to House Its Charitable Foundation

Community 1st Credit Union (C1st) is proud to announce a new partnership with the Iowa Credit Union Foundation (ICUF) to house its charitable foundation. This transition marks an exciting new chapter for the C1st Foundation, which has made a difference across Iowa communities since 2016.

Rooted in the credit union philosophy of “people helping people,” the C1st Foundation supports programs and initiatives that create lasting, positive change in the communities it serves. The foundation is committed to empowering individuals through three core initiatives: financial literacy education, promoting mental wellness and suicide prevention, and investing in community betterment projects that enhance quality of life. Since 2019, the C1st Foundation has proudly contributed over $350,000 to local non-profit organizations, helping to build stronger, more resilient communities.

“As our footprint expands from Western to Eastern Iowa, we want the C1st Foundation to reflect that same growth by making a greater impact across every community we serve,” says Foundation Administrator, David Bossou. “Partnering with the Iowa Credit Union Foundation, we can expand the reach of our charitable efforts, connect with like-minded organizations, and ultimately serve our members in a more meaningful way."
