Hike the Hill 2024

Several C1st staff members, along with other credit union advocates from across the state, recently spent the day at Hike the Hill in Des Moines at the Iowa Capitol to connect with legislators and talk about impactful member stories and how financial cooperatives are improving the lives of Iowans!

Hike the Hill is an annual event held in partnership with the Iowa Credit Union League (ICUL) to advocate for credit unions and discuss political and legislative issues facing credit unions. Staff members from credit unions across Iowa have the chance to connect with legislators on ICUL priorities and make a difference in advancing the credit union movement.  It’s an excellent opportunity to educate on the unique structure of credit unions.

We are thankful for the opportunity to join over 200 other credit union advocates who are dedicated to the financial well-being of Iowans! Thanks to our staff and others around the state who spent time advocating for credit unions to Iowa’s legislators.
