External Transfers Made Easy with Digital Banking

Link your external accounts with ease and send money between Community 1st Credit Union and your account at another financial institution. This feature is only available to consumer accounts.

How to Link an External Account

  1. Log in to Digital Banking from our homepage. If you’re not enrolled yet, click here.
  2. Open the Menu, select Manage Money, then choose Add External Account.
  3. To add your external account, you will need to have the following information:
    • Institution’s Routing and Transit number
    • Your Account number 
    • Account type - checking or savings
  4. We will send two small micro-deposits to that account within 1–3 business days.
  5. Check your external account and note the two deposit amounts.
  6. Return to Digital Banking and go to Menu > Manage Money > Verify External Account.
  7. Select the account and enter the micro-deposit amounts to complete verification.
  8. Log out and back in. The verified external account will now appear as an option when transferring funds or making loan payments.

How to Transfer To or From an External Account

  1. Log in to Digital Banking.
  2. Go to Manage Money > Transfer Funds.
  3. Set up your transfer using your external account.
  4. Check 'Make this a recurring transaction' if you want automatic transfers.
  5. Select Transfer Funds or Submit to finish.

How to Cancel a Recurring Transfer

  1. In Digital Banking, go to Manage Money > Online Activity.
  2. Select Recurring Transactions.
  3. Click Actions next to the transfer you want to change and choose Cancel Series.
  4. Confirm to cancel the recurring transfer.

How to Make a Loan Payment from an External Account

  1. In Digital Banking, go to Manage Money > Loan Payments.
  2. Choose your external account from the dropdown.
  3. Enter the additional details and select Submit.

Reminder: External transfers take two full business days to complete. For recurring loan payments, schedule the payment at least five days before the due date to avoid delays.

Most Community 1st Credit Union loans can be paid from an external account.
